Project Manager – Large‑Scale Industrial Construction

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Project Engineer to lead a large‑scale industrial construction project on the investor’s side in Slovakia. The role combines strategic thinking, team coordination, and rigorous control of quality, budget, and schedule to deliver high‑impact outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of a large‑scale industrial construction project from concept to handover.
• Own budget, schedule, procurement, quality, and risk management responsibilities.
• Prepare detailed project plans, including milestones, resources, risks, and control points.
• Communicate regularly with the client, providing reports and updates throughout all phases.
• Coordinate contractors, manage tenders, and evaluate bids.
• Lead the project team, fostering collaboration and achievement of project goals.
• Monitor performance using KPIs, update forecasts, and implement change and risk mitigation measures.
• Ensure efficient information flow between the project team and the client.
• Provide advisory support for stakeholder strategy and expectation management.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction project management.
• Proven experience managing industrial hall projects with investment volumes of at least EUR 30 million.
• Experience representing the investor’s side is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Advanced knowledge of SharePoint.
