Lower Secondary English Teacher – Bratislava (Start Aug 2026)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated English Teacher to join an international school in Bratislava, delivering lower‑secondary English (Years 7‑9) to a multicultural student body. The role starts in August 2026 and offers the chance to work in a vibrant, forward‑thinking environment while experiencing Slovak culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Years 7‑9, following the Cambridge curriculum and, where applicable, IB frameworks.
• Use inquiry‑based and interactive teaching methods to foster student participation.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects.
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide feedback to students and families.
• Support diverse learning needs and contribute to a positive, inclusive school community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a closely related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching English at lower secondary level (Years 7‑9).
• Familiarity with international curricula; IB experience is a plus.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Passion for inspiring young learners and maintaining high teaching standards.
