Clinical Lead / Clinical Trial Manager – Europe (Talent Pipeline)

About the role

Emerald Clinical Trials is building a network of Clinical Leads / Clinical Trial Managers across Europe to support upcoming studies. This remote, home‑based position will allow you to lead end‑to‑end trial operations for global and regional programmes, with a focus on therapeutic areas such as renal, oncology, cardiometabolic and autoimmune diseases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day clinical trial operations from start‑up through close‑out.
• Manage study timelines, enrolment targets and operational deliverables.
• Oversee CRA activities, monitoring quality and site performance.
• Support site feasibility, selection, activation and ongoing performance management.
• Partner with sponsors, investigators and cross‑functional teams.
• Ensure protocol compliance, data quality and regulatory adherence.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation solutions.
• Provide regular study updates and status reports to stakeholders.
• Mentor CRAs and other study team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy or a related discipline.
• Prior experience as a Clinical Trial Manager, Clinical Lead or equivalent.
• Strong background in site monitoring and management.
• Working knowledge of European regulatory requirements and ICH‑GCP.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across international studies.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience in renal/nephrology trials is highly preferred.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACRP or SOCRA) is advantageous.
