AML Officer – Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) – Slovakia

About the role

We are looking for a Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to support an operational AML/CFT obliged entity in the crypto‑asset services sector in Slovakia. The role focuses on regulatory communications, AML/CFT reporting, and interaction with the Slovak Financial Intelligence Unit, with future coordination with the National Bank of Slovakia for MiCA authorisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit UBT and other AML/CFT reports to the Slovak FSJ, acting as the main contact for regulator enquiries.
• Review escalations from operations and monitoring tools, assess unusual activity, and oversee the quality of alert handling and case files for UBT assessment.
• Perform day‑to‑day duties of the AML/CFT responsible person, ensuring compliance with Slovak AML legislation, EU standards, FATF, and MiCA requirements.
• Provide input on AML/CFT policies, support audits and regulatory inspections, and deliver AML/CTF training sessions.

Required profile

• Intermediate or higher Slovak for written submissions and live communication with the FSJ.
• Intermediate or higher English.
• 2+ years of experience in AML/CFT, compliance, PSP/FinTech, banking, or crypto.
• Practical knowledge of Slovak AML Act No. 297/2008 and EU AML/CFT requirements.

Required skills

• Experience with AML reporting tools such as SumSub, Veriff, Ondato, SEON, Dow Jones.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Crystal, Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic).
• Certifications like ACAMS, ICA, CFCS are a plus.
