About the role

We are looking for a motivated accountant to manage a comprehensive accounting agenda in our office in Košice. The role involves daily handling of bookkeeping, month‑end closings and supporting quarterly and annual financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including bookkeeping and month‑end closing.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and ensure compliance with organisational policies.
• Coordinate and control accounting of long‑term tangible and intangible assets.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date data.
• Prepare statistical reports and internal reporting in line with legislative requirements.
• Compile documentation for auditors and liaise with external accounting and tax service providers.
• Process and preliminarily review tax returns (VAT, OSS VAT, corporate income tax, vehicle tax) and communicate with tax authorities.
• Approve incoming invoices and ensure their accurate processing.
• Participate in the implementation and testing of new accounting processes, tools and automation solutions.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience as an accountant.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex accounting issues independently.
• Attention to detail, responsibility and precision.
• English language proficiency at B1 level or higher.
