Tax Analyst – Tax Exemption Program (ATEP)

About the role

Amazon's Tax Exemption Program (ATEP) is looking for a Tax Analyst to join the Bratislava Tax Engine Operations team. The role involves monitoring exemption certificate creation, updating the ATEP user interface, and collaborating with cross‑functional partners to ensure compliance and process efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and audit exemption certificate creation activity, identify anomalies and execute remediation actions.
• Maintain and regularly update the ATEP user interface to reflect current tax regulations and internal policies.
• Keep operational workflows on schedule, flag risks or blockers, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Tax Engine, Legal, Engineering and other teams to resolve cross‑team dependencies.
• Analyze exemption data using BI tools (Tableau, Alteryx, QuickSight), Gen AI and Excel to generate actionable insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department.
• Strong understanding of tax compliance principles, regulations and reporting across jurisdictions.
