Senior Internal Auditor (Engineering, Design & Construction)

About the role

Kanadevia Inova is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead audits across engineering, design, construction, commissioning and quality management processes for large EPC projects. The role focuses on identifying technical risks, ensuring compliance with standards and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits of engineering, design, construction, commissioning and quality management activities.
• Assess design reviews, engineering change management, interface coordination, documentation control and standards compliance.
• Evaluate construction governance, contractor performance, quality controls, mechanical completion and commissioning readiness.
• Identify technical risks such as design issues, scope gaps, rework, delays and quality failures, and recommend mitigation measures.
• Promote continuous improvement by enhancing engineering efficiency, cross‑functional collaboration, execution controls and risk management practices.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with 7–15 years of experience in engineering, construction, commissioning or site execution on large industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of plant design, construction, commissioning processes, technical documentation and ISO 9001 quality management.
• Proven ability to translate technical risks into business impacts and apply audit or risk‑management principles.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical and negotiation skills; capable of challenging senior stakeholders.
• Fluent English, high integrity, independent working style, international mindset and willingness to travel up to 30%.
