Senior Credit Analyst – WKV & WKV Banking (German Market)

About the role

As a Senior Credit Analyst you will play a key role in assessing complex credit risks and driving high‑quality underwriting decisions for the German market. You will act as the main liaison between the Bratislava office and German Credit Analysis teams, supporting both domestic and international corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Independently analyse financial statements, business performance and risk profiles of corporate clients.
• Assess transaction, counter‑party and group risks at national and international levels.
• Make independent credit decisions within delegated authority and prepare recommendations for higher‑level approvals.
• Lead discussions on complex risk cases and provide expert recommendations.
• Monitor credit portfolios and proactively identify risk‑mitigation opportunities.
• Build relationships with brokers, policyholders and internal stakeholders, defending credit decisions when needed.
• Support less experienced team members through knowledge sharing and coaching.
• Drive process optimisation initiatives and participate in international projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in credit risk analysis, corporate banking, trade credit insurance or a comparable field.
• Strong understanding of industry and market dynamics, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Very good command of English; German is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using credit‑related analysis systems.
