Scrum Master & Business Analyst (Agile Delivery)

About the role

Zurich Insurance is seeking a Scrum Master / Business Analyst to join its IT team in Bratislava. In this hybrid role you will support the development of a global catastrophe‑API platform, bridging business needs with technical delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies – daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with business owners and the Application Delivery Manager.
• Identify, track and remove delivery impediments, escalating risks and communicating progress.
• Coordinate delivery activities with external vendors, development teams and change‑management, including defect resolution, testing and releases.
• Plan and execute user acceptance testing, capture feedback and support formal sign‑off.
• Liaise with catastrophe analysts to clarify requirements and expected outcomes.
• Support incident escalations, conduct root‑cause investigations and guide project integrations.
• Maintain project documentation, decision records and application‑related artefacts.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Business Analyst or a combined Agile delivery role.
• Strong business analysis capabilities – requirements elicitation, process analysis, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience working with product owners, technical teams, external vendors and service providers.
• Good understanding of Agile delivery practices and project methodologies.
• Background in the insurance industry with knowledge of exposure, accumulation and reinsurance terminology.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
