Linux Administrator – Hardware Specialist

About the role

You will be the primary point of contact for the physical layer of our infrastructure, overseeing three data‑centres across two European countries. In addition to managing hardware, you will maintain and improve our internal and hosting Linux environment.

Key responsibilities

• Rack, cable, install and inventory new servers; replace disks, RAM, power supplies and other components; manage warranty claims and coordinate with data‑centre staff and hardware suppliers.
• Maintain rack order, de‑commission hardware, perform capacity planning and audit readiness.
• Operate and automate Linux infrastructure built on Ubuntu, LXD, Nginx, ZFS, MariaDB, Postfix, Dovecot, Kubernetes and Zabbix, using SaltStack and Ansible.
• Participate in regular upgrades, monitoring, and on‑call duty (3‑4 times per month) to resolve incidents reported by Zabbix or colleagues.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with server hardware (rack, cabling, component replacement, RAID, IPMI/KVM).
• Several years of Linux server administration, command‑line deployment, monitoring and upgrades.
• Solid understanding of networking (subnetting, static IP, NAT, firewalls).
• Proficiency in automation/scripting (IaC, Bash/Shell, Python).
• Analytical problem‑solving mindset, English at B2 level or higher, and a driving licence for data‑centre visits.
