Junior Credit Analyst – Corporate Credit Risk

About the role

As a Junior Credit Analyst you will support the assessment and management of credit risk for corporate clients in the German market, working within an international team. You will develop expertise in underwriting and financial analysis while collaborating with colleagues in Germany and Bratislava.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial statements and key indicators of domestic and international corporate clients under guidance.
• Support the assessment of transaction, counter‑party and group risks.
• Prepare credit assessments and recommendations for review and approval.
• Monitor existing exposures and assist in risk‑mitigation activities.
• Collaborate with Credit Analysis teams in Germany and Bratislava.
• Participate in discussions with brokers, policyholders and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives and team projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in finance, banking, risk management, accounting, audit or a related area.
• Strong interest in corporate credit risk and financial analysis.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Basic understanding of financial statements and ratios.
• Very good command of English; German is an advantage but not required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
