HVAC Engineer / Building Technologies Engineer

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a technically skilled HVAC Engineer / Building Technologies Engineer to lead the supervision and commissioning of HVAC, ventilation and related building systems on a large‑scale automotive project in Slovakia. You will work closely with the project team, consultants and contractors to ensure that all installations meet design specifications, safety standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse technical drawings and HVAC system design documentation.
• Supervise installation of air‑conditioning equipment (splits, chillers, fan coils), ventilation and exhaust systems in industrial buildings.
• Inspect water storage and distribution, fire protection, special gas, industrial wastewater, compressed air and steam systems.
• Support project scheduling, cost estimation and planning activities.
• Plan and oversee testing, pre‑commissioning and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Apply safety standards and engineering best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients, designers and contractors.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of HVAC, ventilation and building technical systems.
• Proven experience in technical supervision of installation and commissioning.
• Ability to coordinate suppliers, communicate with clients and ensure quality and safety.
• Experience working on industrial or automotive projects is advantageous.
