Senior Tax Analyst – Indirect Tax & Regulatory Fees

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join the Product Classification Service Operations team in Bratislava. The role focuses on end‑to‑end delivery of regulatory fee calculations across multiple jurisdictions, supporting the Global Tax Engine Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of regulatory fee projects, from legislative research and feasibility analysis to deployment and post‑launch monitoring.
• Identify gaps in fee coverage, propose prioritized solutions for new fee types or jurisdictions, and define success metrics.
• Drive process improvements and automation to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Evaluate downstream and upstream implications of collection solutions and partner with Engineering, Legal and Product teams.
• Communicate requirements and updates to global business teams across multiple time zones.
• Monitor emerging regulatory trends and advise leadership on strategic implications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience in indirect tax or finance environments, with strong knowledge of international tax laws.
• Experience researching taxability of products and services.
• Background in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with data‑focused tools such as Python, SQL, Alteryx or Amazon QuickSight.
• Familiarity with general AI tools.
